After detouring to a distress call on an alien planet, the Covenant crew are infected with what looks similar to the black DNA from Ridley Scott’s Prometheus. In this first red band clip from Alien: Covenant, which is more or less footage from the trailers, we see what could be the first “infection” as a man is having a Xenomorph (or Neomorph?) bust out of his back. Meanwhile, Carmen Ejogo’s character is screaming to be let out but is left to what will probably be her ultimate demise thanks to A Horrible Way to Die‘s Amy Seimetz.
Michael Fassbender returns as Prometheus‘ android David (and Walter), with a crew that also includes Demian Bichir, Alex England (Gods of Egypt), Billy Crudup, Amy Seimetz (A Horrible Way to Die, “The Killing”), Jussie Smollett (“Empire”), Carmen Ejogo, Callie Hernandez (Machete Kills) and James Franco.
Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition
Alien: Covenant takes off for Paradise on May 19, 2017.
