All signs point to David Gordon Green and Danny McBride returning Michael Myers to his terrifying roots in next October’s reboot of the Halloween franchise, which aims to undo a whole lot of the franchise’s messiness and get back to the basics. According to McBride, the new film is going to begin shooting this Fall, so we should be learning more real soon.
In the meantime, Collider just snapped a photo of an early piece of promo art that’s on display at the ongoing Licensing Expo, which looks very classic and true to the original poster art for John Carpenter’s Halloween. Again, the film hasn’t even begun shooting yet, but it’s at least cool to see something this early in the game.
Check it out below!
John Carpenter, who may be providing the film’s score, will executive produce with Malek Akkad producing for Trancas and Jason Blum producing for Blumhouse. Gordon Green and McBride will also executive produce under their Rough House Pictures banner.
Michael Myers returns to life on October 19th, 2018.
