We’re just a week away from the release of Lights Out director David F. Sandberg‘s Annabelle: Creation, which is a prequel to The Conjuring‘s spinoff that saw a demonic doll stalking a family. Our own Kalyn Corrigan saw it, writing in her review that it’s “a very welcome addition to The Conjuring universe.”
In Annabelle: Creation, “Several years after the tragic death of their little girl, a dollmaker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home, soon becoming the target of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle.”
We have a pair of clips from the film, both of which are excellent. The first has a priest approaching the Annabelle doll only to find out he’s being stalked by an enormous demon…one that breaks his fingers when he tries to present a cross for protection.
The other is just as good, showing the classic sheet ghost stalking a girl, only to have it slip off to reveal that there’s nothing underneath. Annabelle: Creation is allegedly packed to the brim with scares.
