Laura Dern Could Return In ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’!

Dinosaurs eat man… woman inherits the earth.

A few weeks back, it was alleged that the great Sam Neill could be returning to Jurassic Park as Dr. Alan Grant in J. A. Bayona‘s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Now, Jurassic Park co-star Laura Dern is teasing a potential reunion in the J. A. Bayona-directed Jurassic World sequel.

“[It] could be fun,” she teased with all but a wink. “I mean, I love Ellie Sattler.”

Further praising her character from the 1993 movie, Dern added, “She’s a tough feminist, come on! We need her back.”

As noted before, it’s surprising the filmmakers have been keeping these casting bits secret being that they made a whole bunch of noise behind Jeff Goldblum‘s return as Ian Malcolm, which was confirmed in the first trailer debut. Goldblum is rumored to just be a cameo, with the trailer implying he’s testifying as to why these dinosaurs need to be saved. Is this the same sequence that we’d see Neill and Dern make their return?

As much as I love Chris Pratt, I’d love to see Goldblum, Neill, and Dern as the central character in the film, even if it’s in the third film in the planned trilogy.
