You. Need to watch. This movie.
Every month, Netflix tends to surprise-drop a couple new titles not teased in their monthly preview, and one of the films kicking off the streaming service’s year on a strong note is Kevin Phillips’ Super Dark Times, a thoroughly gripping tale of innocence brutally lost in ’90s suburbia.
Brad just recently picked Super Dark Times as one of the 5 best horror movies of 2017, writing in his year-end review that it’s “that special kind of film that we as genre fans are always desperate to discover – the one that we fall in love with and show to all of our friends.”
“It’ll prove to be a cult classic for years to come,” he added.
“The film follows teenagers Zach and Josh, who have been best friends their whole lives, but when a gruesome accident leads to a cover-up, the secret drives a wedge between them and propels them down a rabbit hole of escalating paranoia and violence.”
Owen Campbell, Charlie Tahan, and Elizabeth Cappuccino star.
