Masked Maniacs Come Knocking Again in Full ‘The Strangers: Prey at Night’ Trailer

It’ll be easier this time.

Looking back, it’s sort of odd that Bryan Bertino’s home invasion film, The Strangers, never got a sequel back when it was released in 2008. The terrifying movie centered on three masked killers who almost instantly became slasher icons, so it would seem it was the perfect launching off point for a franchise. We had to wait ten years, but they’re finally back.

Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down) was at the helm of The Strangers: Prey at Night, which looks to hit the reboot button and (hopefully) launch a franchise proper. This time around, the masked killers make a pit stop at a mobile home park, terrorizing a family the only way they know how. The official trailer just hit today, presenting a movie that feels both familiar and fresh. Color us excited; this is one of our most anticipated horror movies of 2018!

The Strangers return on March 9, 2018.

In the film, “A family’s road trip takes a dangerous turn when they arrive at a secluded mobile home park to stay with some relatives and find it mysteriously deserted. Under the cover of darkness, three masked psychopaths pay them a visit to test the family’s every limit as they struggle to survive.”

Christina Hendricks, Bailee Madison, Lewis Pullman, and Martin Henderson star, with Emma Bellomy as DOLLFACE, Lea Enslin as PIN-UP GIRLand Damian Maffei as the MAN IN THE MASK.

Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down) directed. Bertino and Ben Ketai wrote the script.
