Steven Spielberg returns to a world of pure imagination in next month’s Ready Player One, an adaptation of Ernest Cline’s bestselling novel. As we’ve seen in the previous trailers, countless characters and totems from pop culture past are going to blast across the big screen in the film, including killer car Christine, Chucky and Freddy Krueger.

Warner Bros. just released the final trailer for Ready Player One, featuring a wonderful new take on the song “Pure Imagination” from Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory. It’s easily the movie’s best trailer to date, and it’s of course loaded with nostalgic little winks and nods. The coolest? Spielberg homages Spielberg with Rexy from Jurassic Park!
The scene of a T-rex chasing after a truck at 1:27 in the new trailer calls to mind the epic T-rex attack scene from Jurassic Park, made by Spielberg 25 years ago!

“The film is set in 2045, with the world on the brink of chaos and collapse. Spielberg directed from a screenplay by Zak Penn and Ernest Cline. The film was produced by Donald De Line, Spielberg, Kristie Macosko Krieger and Dan Farah; with Adam Somner, Daniel Lupi, Chris DeFaria and Bruce Berman serving as executive producers.
Ready Player One stars Tye Sheridan (“X-Men: Apocalypse,” “Mud”), Olivia Cooke (“Me and Earl and the Dying Girl,” “Bates Motel”), Ben Mendelsohn (“Rogue One – A Star Wars Story,” “Bloodline”) and T.J.
