Earlier this morning we shared the very first trailer for Halloween, which returns to Haddonfield on October 19th. Even at nearly two and a half minutes in length, there’s a ton imagery that flashes so quickly that it’s hard to register. Take, for instance, a courtroom drawing of Dr. Loomis and case files on Michael Myers (with a shot of him as a little boy). Then there are the hero shots – and boy there are a lot of them.
In the new Halloween, which follows the events of John Carpenter‘s 1978 slasher, Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) has been preparing for the Shape’s return. We see that Laurie has built a hidden shelter that’s presumably stocked with weapons. In fact, she’s wanted Michael to escape. There are demons in her closet and she’s been looking over her shoulder for 40 years. She has a family now. With Michael free, she can hunt him down and kill him for good.
In these shots, we see a plethora of victims, and it looks as if Michael is taking Haddonfield by storm on Halloween night. Laurie is no longer related to Michael, thus he’s probably not focused on anyone in particular and will be slaying everyone in his path. I expect a bloodbath.
