Twenty two years ago, Wes Craven changed the game with Scream, a self referential slasher film that has gone down in history as one of the all-time greats. If you’re reading this, chances are you’re a big time fan of the Kevin Williamson-penned film (who among us isn’t?!), and this October you’ll have the chance to watch it with an audience… in Woodsboro!
Okay, so Woodsboro is a fictional town, but fans Anthony Masi and Nate Ragon are inviting you to hang out in the actual town that played the role of Woodsboro, Santa Rosa, California. For the Scream Comes Home event, which just went live on Kickstarter tonight, they’re hosting an overnight party on Halloween weekend with accompanying Scream screening and bus tour of “Woodsboro,” with full backing from the homeowners of the house used as Stu’s house.
Masi explained to us, “We are renting the entire grounds that the house sits on, which includes 2 other houses and 2 barns. Food/alcohol/lots of goodies and surprises.”
The bus tour will make stops at the following movie locales:
- Sidney’s House
- Casey Becker’s House
- Woodsboro High School
- Woodsboro Town Square
- Woodsboro Police Station
- Tatum’s House
- Video Store
- Grocery Store
Scream Comes Home will take place on the weekend before Halloween, which is October 27 – 28, 2018, with the main day of the event happening on Saturday (10/27).
The Kickstarter campaign is seeking $50,000, and for $200 you can get tickets to the event. Starting at $850, your ticket will include an overnight stay at Stu’s house.
This once-in-a-lifetime event promises to be the ULTIMATE Scream fan party.
