Michael Myers Brings Back the Iconic Head Tilt in Newest ‘Halloween’ Photo
For many of us, the single greatest moment in John Carpenter‘s Halloween comes after Michael Myers pins Bob to a wall with his knife; The Shape then takes a step back and tilts his head to admire his work. It’s an iconic moment that embodies the infamous slasher. Dr. Loomis described the young Michael as blank, pale, and emotionless, with “the blackest eyes – the Devil’s eyes.” The “head tilt” is such a huge moment beyond just being cool as fuck as it’s also the slightest of character traits revealed throughout the movie, maybe even the franchise.
Hiding within Fandango‘s fall movie preview is a brand new look at David Gordon Green‘s sequel to Halloween, which once again highlights Michael from the new film opening in theaters October 19th. Only this time, he’s bringing back the iconic head tilt that we all know and love.

In the decades following the fateful Halloween night that forever altered the former babysitter’s life, Laurie has armed and prepped herself for Michael’s inevitable return — to the detriment of her family, including daughter Karen and granddaughter Allyson.”
Judy Greer plays Karen Strode, Laurie’s daughter, while Andi Matichak landed the coveted role of the film’s young lead (daughter to Greer and granddaughter to Curtis).
Nick Castle will return to the role of Michael Myers, while stunt performer and actor James Jude Courtney has also been cast to play Myers.
The cast also includes Virginia “Ginny” Gardner (Project Almanac, Marvel’s “Runaways”), Miles Robbins (Mozart in the Jungle, My Friend Dahmer), Dylan Arnold (Mudbound, Laggies, When We Rise), and Drew Scheid (“Stranger Things”, The War with Grandpa). They will be playing the friends of Matichak’s Allyson.
Before updating the video nasty Faces of Death, director Daniel Goldhaber and writer Isa Mazzei explored the dangers of online life in tech-thriller Cam, their feature debut that was acquired by Netflix in 2018 after making waves on the festival circuit.
At the end of last year, the Netflix exclusive quietly departed from the streaming platform, left without another streaming home.
It’s not an isolated story; Mike Flanagan’s Hush also left streaming entirely for a period until it was finally picked up on both physical media and other streaming services.
While the tech-thriller currently isn’t available to watch on Netflix, Tubi, Hulu, or any other platforms, that’s not a problem for Cam thanks to a very cool move by Goldhaber: the director has made his breakout film accessible to watch online for free via his website.

Cam follows Alice (Madeline Brewer), who works as an online cam girl obsessed with her ranking on the cam site. The higher her ranking goes, the more it draws unwanted attention, and Alice soon finds herself replaced on her own show with a doppelganger.
Written by Mazzei, a former camgirl, it uses the horror thriller premise to examine the life of a sex worker; Alice’s career ambition is directly at odds with the shame it brings to her family, and how she tries to spare them from it by keeping them in the dark. It only compounds her danger when the doppelganger enters the equation in Goldhaber’s engaging thriller.
