This year’s Salem Horror Fest is taking place in Salem, Massachusetts from October 4 – October 14, and we’ve learned this week that David Gordon Green’s Halloween will be having an opening night showcase at the event, a full two weeks before it arrives in theaters!

Salem Horror Fest 2018 also includes a 30th anniversary screening of Elvira, Mistress of the Dark with Cassandra Peterson herself in attendance, as well as screenings of The Return of the Living Dead, Blood Fest, Tremors, My Bloody Valentine, Day of the Dead, Suspiria and Alien. Guests in attendance include Linnea Quigley, Kane Hodder and Andre Gower.
