Patrick Bromley just reviewed Prospect for us last week, calling it a “smart, unique and impressive” little sci-film film. He also wrote that it’s “a modest, low-budget film that refuses to cut corners or compromise,” adding “after a summer’s worth of movies that have treated me like a dummy, it’s a welcome change of pace.”
Today we’ve learned that the sci-fi/western will premiere on November 2, exclusively in Regal theaters nationwide. It comes courtesy of Gunpowder & Sky’s sci-fi label, Dust. It’ll then digitally premiere on SingularDTV’s blockchain-enabled VOD platform in 2019.
Check out the new trailer below.
In the film, written and directed by Zeek Earl and Chris Caldwell…
“A teenage girl and her father travel to a remote alien moon, aiming to strike it rich. They’ve secured a contract to harvest a large deposit of the elusive gems hidden in the depths of the moon’s toxic forest. But there are others roving the wilderness and the job quickly devolves into a fight to survive. Forced to contend not only with the forest’s other ruthless inhabitants, but with her own father’s greed-addled judgment, the girl finds she must carve her own path to escape.”
Jay Duplass, Sophie Thatcher, Pedro Pascal, Andre Royo, Sheila Vand and Anwan Glover star.
