Watch Our ‘Heavy Trip’ This Weekend On All VOD Platforms!
Bloody Disgusting Presents is alive and this time we’re teaming with Doppelgänger Releasing on the black metal comedy Heavy Trip, which is now on all VOD platforms (links here)! We’re really proud of this Finnish comedy that’s in the vein of Airheads – if the band were a young Dethklok from “Metalocalypse”. It’s about a small-town Finnish heavy metal band that blasts its way out of the quiet countryside for a big debut gig in Norway. Metal and horror fans are going to find it hysterical. I promise!

Birth.Movies.Death’s Marisa Mirabal gave the horns of approval, “Heavy Trip solidifies its place among other beloved metal genre films by summoning a dark comedy that even those who aren’t familiar with Pantera, Children of Bodom, or Uruguayan grindcore can throw their horns up and enjoy.”
“Wail loud, scream proud and support this kooky exploratory import that’s worth one hell of a night with rocksteady friends, horns in the air, until the final credits roll,” added Slashfilm’s Matt Donato.

Director David Robert Mitchell (It Follows) is back this summer with dinosaurs-in-suburbia mystery box movie The End of Oak Street, and tickets are on sale NOW.
To celebrate tickets being put up for grabs this morning, Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for The End of Oak Street along with a few new official posters.

Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor come face-to-face with a monstrous threat in The End of Oak Street, which looks like M. Night Shyamalan with retro-style Amblin vibes.
As Mitchell explained to Entertainment Weekly, inspirations for the film include Jurassic Park, The Twilight Zone, Poltergeist, The Valley of Gwangi, and M. Night Shyamalan’s Signs.
The End of Oak Street is set in the early 1980s…
In the film, “After a mysterious cosmic event rips Oak Street from suburbia and transports their neighborhood to someplace unknown, the Platt family soon discovers that their very survival depends on them sticking together as they navigate their now unrecognizable surroundings.”
Maisy Stella and Christian Convery also star.
The film is written and directed by David Robert Mitchell and produced by J.J. Abrams, Hannah Minghella, Jon Cohen, David Robert Mitchell, Matt Jackson and Tommy Harper. The executive producers are Chris Bender, Jake Weiner, Joanne Lee and Leeann Stonebreaker.
