Some excitement for Bloody Disgusting family today as principal photography on Ready or Not has begun in Toronto, Canada, Fox Searchlight announced. Radio Silence, the directors of the “10/31/98” segment in our V/H/S and the wraparound story in Southbound, are directing a new horror film (Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin are directing with Chad Villella executive producing).
The film stars Samara Weaving (pictured below in Mayhem, The Babysitter), Adam Brody (pictured above in Jennifer’s Body, Chips), Mark O’Brien (Arrival, “Halt and Catch Fire”), with Henry Czerny (“Sharp Objects”) and Andie MacDowell.
Ready or Not follows a young bride (Weaving) as she joins her new husband’s (O’Brien) rich, eccentric family (Brody, Czerny, MacDowell) in a time-honored tradition that turns into a lethal game with everyone fighting for their survival.
The script is written by Guy Busick (Urge) and Ryan Murphy. The film is being produced by Tripp Vinson (The Prodigy, The Exorcism of Emily Rose) and James Vanderbilt (Zodiac, The House With a Clock In Its Walls).
