[Image] Jamie Lee Curtis and Original Lindsey Wallace Actress Just Reunited After 40 Years!

It’s hard to believe, but here we are, a complete forty years distance between this month and the original release of John Carpenter’s game-changing Halloween. Fittingly, David Gordon Green’s brand new sequel is now in theaters, perfectly timed to the original film’s 40th anniversary, and the stars took to the red carpet earlier this week for the Hollywood premiere.

In attendance? Jamie Lee Curtis, of course, but also Kyle Richards, who played the original Lindsey Wallace way back in 1978! Richards was just eight years old at the time, and now 40 years later, she and her protective on-screen babysitter just reunited on the red carpet for the film that continues that original story that brought them together decades ago.

Lindsey, of course, was one of the children Laurie babysat in Halloween ’78.

Such a great night celebrating the Halloween premiere. Cannot believe it has been 40 years since we made the original Halloween,” Richards wrote over on Instagram this week.

Just thought you guys would like to see this. It sure made us smile!

The project for Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes is being described as a “fast-paced thriller,” and Deadline reports today that Violett Beane (Truth or Dare) has joined the cast.

Newcomer Jacob Robinson has also signed on to star in the mysterious thriller. Previously announced, Meghann Fahy (“White Lotus”) will be leading the cast.

Landon recently teased on Twitter, “This is my love letter to DePalma.”

Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach wrote the script.

Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller and Cameron Fuller — “who brought the script in to Platinum Dunes” — are producing the upcoming Drop. Sam Lerner is an executive producer.

THR notes, “The film is a Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse production for Universal.”
