Legendary has closed a deal for Eiza Gonzalez to join Godzilla vs Kong, the fourth installment of the Legendary and Warner Bros. cinematic universe to be released May 22, 2020, says Deadline.
Gonzalez is coming off Baby Driver, pictured below, and will next be seen in Bloodshot and Alita: Battle Angel.
Rebecca Hall also joins the film that includes Millie Bobby Brown (“Stranger Things”), Julian Dennison(Deadpool 2), and Brian Tyree Henry (“Atlanta”), Alexander Skarsgård (“True Blood”) and Demian Bichir (The Nun).
Adam Wingard (A Horrible Way to Die, V/H/S, V/H/S/2, The Guest, You’re Next, Death Note) directs.
The film will be the fourth in the cinematic universe featuring the two monsters. The first installment of Legendary’s Monsterverse was 2014’s Godzilla, followed by 2017’s Kong: Skull Island, which grossed more than $565 million worldwide. A sequel to Godzilla, titled Godzilla: King of the Monsters, with Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, and Brown, is now in production.
