In the original Halloween, Michael Myers doesn’t emerge from his battle with a young Laurie Strode unscathed, as the resourceful teenager plunges a knitting needle into his neck and a coat hanger into his eye. Forty years later, their “final battle” similarly leaves Myers disfigured, with the masked maniac getting a couple fingers blown off by a shotgun.
These behind the scenes photos show off James Jude Courtney on set with the “mutilated hand” prosthetics, giving us a better look at the nasty wound Myers sustained in Halloween ’18. When Michael inevitably returns in a sequel to this year’s decades-later sequel, he will be working with only eight fingers, which should make killing a bit harder for him.
Then again, we’re pretty sure even a missing arm wouldn’t stop The Shape…
