The animated film is the third in a trilogy of movies from Toho and Polygon, coming in the wake of Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters and Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle.
“With the earth alliance weakened, Haruo weighs siding with the Exif, whose death cult is summoning a monster that can destroy the world.”
Both Planet of the Monsters and City on the Edge of Battle are currently on Netflix.
The film is directed by Kobun Shizuno & Hiroyuki Seshita, from a screenplay by Gen Urobuchi.
