Not to be confused with the 1989 Howie Mandel film with the same title, director Abe Forsythe‘s zombie-comedy Little Monsters (read our review) was a huge hit at Sundance, with NEON and Hulu winning a bidding war between four studios to land the rights. We don’t yet have a trailer or date, but we did get our hands on the very first footage for ya today!
Forsythe previews Little Monsters in the below video, which also includes a handful of clips from the movie itself. And it’s enough footage that it might as well be a trailer.
Thanks to “MonsterMan” for the scoop!
Lupita Nyong’o (Black Panther, Jordan Peele’s Us), Josh Gad (Beauty and the Beast), and Alexander England (Alien: Covenant) star in the film…
“Little Monsters follows Dave (England), a washed-up musician who volunteers to chaperone his nephew’s kindergarten class field trip after taking a serious liking to the fearless schoolteacher, Miss Caroline (Nyong’o). Dave’s intentions are complicated by the presence of the world’s most famous kids’ show personality and competition for Miss Caroline’s affections, Teddy McGiggle (Gad). One thing none of them bargained for, however, is a sudden zombie outbreak. Will Dave rise to the occasion and have a chance at Miss Caroline’s heart, or will the zombies get there first?”
The movie is produced by Keith and Jess Wu Calder’s Snoot Entertainment (You’re Next, The Guest, Blair Witch) and Bruna Papandrea’s Made Up Stories.
