International ‘Us’ Trailer Offers Clues to Doppelgänger Mythology [Video]

Published

A new international trailer for the Jordan Peele-directed Us not only carries a whole lot of new footage, but also offers some clues as to the doppelgänger’s arrival. Much like last year’s Suspiria, the film’s mythology appears to be soaked in the spiritual significance of 11:11.

“The underlying intention of our angels bringing our awareness to 11:11 is to make us more conscious of ourselves, and remind us that we always have guidance and a greater wisdom to rely on anytime we feel stuck, scared, or frustrated,” writes this site, which adds this gem:

“Seeing repeating numbers, especially 11:11, means you should focus on keeping your thoughts positive, because your desires will manifest instantly into form.”

Essentially, the doppelgängers are a manifestation of the family’s bad side. The commentary behind Peele’s horror film appears to be self-reflection in a newly woke era of socially conscious individuals. This “wake-up call” of numerology perfectly ties to this and the following trailer really hammers this home. Who are the individuals shown in the new footage? A cult? Angels? We’ll find out on March 22nd. (Thanks to @owslajosh for the link.)
