The Titans Are Ready to Fight in New Images from ‘Godzilla: King of the Monsters’

Inside the pages of the new issue of Total Film Magazine are a few new shots from Michael Dougherty‘s Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and Games Radar brings them online today.

Up above is a killer new shot of King Ghidorah, and you’ll find a new shot of Godzilla below along with a fresh new look at Millie Bobby Brown and Vera Farmiga in the film.

Dougherty told the mag, “You sort of have to embrace a more fantastical element when you bring in a giant moth, or a giant bird born out of a volcano. You try to keep it as grounded as you can, so that it feels real. But at the same time, you’re talking about very fantastical creatures.”

The sequel takes place five years after the events in the first film…

“When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.”

Zhang Ziyi, Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, Millie Bobby Brown, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Bradley Whitford, Ken Watanabe, Thomas Middleditch, Charles Dance and Aisha Hinds star.

Dougherty directed from a script he wrote with Zach Shields.

Godzilla returns on May 31, 2019.

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.
