Chucky Again Roasts ‘Toy Story’ On New ‘Child’s Play’ Poster

As we all know by now, Orion Pictures is opening their Child’s Play remake against Pixar’s Toy Story 4. Two toy movies for two very different demographics.

A few weeks ago, Orion dropped one of the greatest movie posters ever – a simple shot of Chucky’s shoe walking out of frame with Toy Story‘s Woody sprawled out dead and holding his famous cowboy hat. What made it so great is that Orion’s designers had made it appear as if Chucky quite literally walked into the Toy Story 4 poster and slaughtered the film’s main character.

Orion is clearly running with this theme and has dropped a second in a series of one-sheets that play on the shared release date. The new art has Chucky roasting the children’s film by cooking Slinky over a fire. I can’t wait to see how they take a jab at Buzz Lightyear!

In Lars Klevberg’s modern take on the horror classic, a mother (Aubrey Plaza) gives her son (Gabriel Bateman) a Buddi doll for his birthday, unaware of its more sinister nature. Mark Hamill is the new voice of Chucky.

The two franchises battle on June 21st.
