Just in case you were thinking about getting into the water this summer…
Steven Spielberg’s Jaws is widely considered to be one of the scariest movies of all time, and you won’t find me disagreeing with that assessment. As someone who has spent his whole life in a beach town, the fear of shark attacks is all too real, and nobody has better exploited and played into those very real fears than Spielberg masterfully did back in the summer of ’75.
It’s now been well over 40 years since Spielberg unleashed Jaws and the film is still as scary as it ever was, proving that some terror is truly timeless. As a cruel celebration of the start of summer, Universal has just uploaded “Scariest Shark Attacks” to their YouTube channel, an 8-minute collection of all the shark attack scenes from the film… in High Definition!
