Ten years after the release of Zombieland, Ruben Fleischer‘s sequel Zombieland: Double Tap will reunite the 2009 film’s four stars on October 18, and today brings the trailer!
Watching the trailer is like reuniting with old friends, and it hardly feels like much time has even passed since we last hung out with them. Somehow, it’s been ten whole years, but it looks like both Fleischer and the cast stepped back into the world of Zombieland without missing a beat. The trailer reunites us with the gang while also introducing several new characters.
It also teases a monster trucks vs. zombies set piece that I cannot wait to see in full.
Nut up, shut up and head back on the road by watching the official trailer below!
Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, and Abigail Breslin are all reprising their roles, with Zoey Deutch, Avan Jogia, Luke Wilson and Rosario Dawson joining them.
In this next installment, through comic mayhem that stretches from the White House and through the heartland, the zombie slayers must face off against many new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first movie, as well as some new human survivors. But most of all, they have to face the growing pains of their own snarky, makeshift family.
The script is by the original film’s scribes, Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, both of whom will also serve as exec producers. Gavin Polone is also returning to produce the film.
