I’m continually mesmerized by the trailer for Ready or Not, which looks like a Clue-themed horror movie. Filmed on a relatively low budget for Fox Searchlight, the set and costume designs are nothing short of spectacular – from Samara Weaving‘s wedding dress to the mansion’s interior that’s turned into its own menacing character with the use of candlelight. I simply cannot wait to play this game of Hide-and-Seek.
With that, here are some brand new images from the film directed by Radio Silence (Devil’s Due, V/H/S, Southbound) that follows a young bride (Weaving) as she joins her new husband’s (Mark O’Brien) rich, eccentric family (played by Adam Brody, Henry Czerny, and Andie MacDowell) in a time-honored tradition that turns into a lethal game with everyone fighting for their survival.
The film will now count down to release on August 21, 2019.
