Djimon Hounsou Joins the Cast of ‘A Quiet Place 2,’ Replacing Brian Tyree Henry

Due to a scheduling conflict, Deadline reports today, Brian Tyree Henry (Child’s Play) will no longer be starring in A Quiet Place 2. Instead, Djimon Hounsou will take his place.

John Krasinski returns to the director’s chair for the sequel.

Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe will reprise their roles from the first film, with Cillian Murphy also joining them this time around.

Krasinski, who also wrote the follow-up for Paramount, recently noted that he doesn’t see it quite as a sequel but rather an expansion on the world he took us into last year.

I think that we’re going to get a few answers to the origin of where and how this whole thing happened,” Brian Tyree Henry told Indiewire in June, suggesting we’ll be learning more about this particular apocalypse next year. “I think that people want to know that. But I think you’re just going to see another side of it…more of humanity that survived this thing in this next story.”

We’ll head back to a Quiet Place on March 20, 2020.
