Chris Pratt has been set to lead the cast of Paramount, Skydance and director Chris McKay‘s (The Lego Batman Movie) upcoming sci-fi film Ghost Draft, and THR reports tonight that both J.K. Simmons and Betty Gilpin are now in negotiations to join Pratt in the film.
Simmons, the site notes, will play the father of Pratt’s character.
Sam Richardson, Yvonne Strahovski and Theo Von are also on board.
“The script, with drafts by Zach Dean and Bill Dubuque, is set in a future where humanity is losing a war against aliens. To turn the tide, scientists draft soldiers from the past to fight the war.”
Filming is expected to begin next month in Atlanta and Iceland.
