We had learned earlier this month that Happy Death Day and Happy Death Day 2U director Christopher Landon is next set to direct a new horror movie for Blumhouse, said to center on “a killer who wreaks havoc in a small town.” Collider provides more details on the project today, revealing that Vince Vaughn and Kathryn Newton (“Big Little Lies”) are in talks to star.

Landon co-wrote the screenplay with Michael Kennedy.
Prior to directing both Happy Death Day and this year’s Happy Death Day 2U, Landon directed Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones and Scout’s Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse.
