All of the trailers for 20th Century Fox’s Ad Astra have been focused on superstar Brad Pitt, forgetting to sell the film itself. Thankfully, they’ve released this absolutely stunning clip from the James Gray-directed sci-fi thriller in which Pitt’s character gets into a gunfight on the surface of the moon.
This sequence looks nothing short of spectacular, and it should considering Grey worked with DP Hoyte van Hoytema to establish a look for the movie based on Kodak stock images from the Apollo 11 through 17 lunar missions.
Ad Astra is a paranoid thriller in space that follows Roy McBride (Brad Pitt) on a mission across an unforgiving solar system to uncover the truth about his missing father and his doomed expedition that now, 30 years later, threatens the universe.
Head to the outer edges of the solar system on September 20th.
