What better day to release a Friday the 13th fan film than on, well, Friday the 13th?
The trailer was released back in July and now the full 18-minute-long short film Here Comes the Night saw its official release on YouTube today. Produced by Eternity Productions and written/directed by Tim McCormack, Here Comes the Night showcases some ’80s VHS cheese, with dollops of blood and porn-style acting to boot!
The press release details, “Here Comes the Night is a fan film set in the original universe of the Friday the 13th movies, and a love letter to the franchise. The film was produced for just under $2,000, and shot over the course of 2 weekends in Austin, Texas and Lexington, Texas. This was possible because of the cast and crew, who donated their time and resources to make the project come alive.”
Considering the franchise is still on pause due to all of the legal troubles, little treats like this make being a Friday fan worth it! Check out the video below.
