Published in 1963, Clifford D. Simak’s sci-fi novel Way Station is getting a feature film adaptation courtesy of Netflix and Matt Reeves (Cloverfield, Let Me In), Deadline reports.
“They are going out to writers to craft a large scale sci-fi thriller,” the site notes.
In the Hugo Award-winning Way Station, “For more than 100 years Enoch Wallace has been the keeper of a Way Station on Earth for intergalactic alien travelers as they teleport across the universe. But the gifts of knowledge and immortality that his intergalactic guests have bestowed upon him are proving to be a nightmarish burden, for they have opened Enoch’s eyes to humanity’s impending destruction. Still, one final hope remains for the human race.”
The film will be produced by 6th & Idaho’s Reeves, Adam Kassan and Rafi Crohn, as well as Adam Massey and Lincoln Stalmaster.
