The hit series “Wednesday” starring Jenna Ortega is returning to Netflix for a third season, and the streamer has announced this morning that Season 3 has officially wrapped filming.

Creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar (Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, “Smallville”) are back as showrunners of the Netflix series, alongside executive producer and director Tim Burton.
Emma Myers, Hunter Doohan, Joy Sunday, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, Isaac Ordonez, Billie Piper, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Victor Dorobantu, Evie Templeton, Luis Guzmán, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Joanna Lumley, and Fred Armisen return to star.
New additions include Eva Green (Dark Shadows), Winona Ryder (“Stranger Things”), Chris Sarandon (Fright Night), Noah Taylor (“Game of Thrones”), Oscar Morgan (“A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms”), Kennedy Moyer (“Task”), Lena Headey (“Game of Thrones”), Andrew McCarthy (Weekend at Bernie’s), and James Lance (“Ted Lasso”).
Season 3 plot details for “Wednesday” are still being kept under wraps, but Alfred Gough and Miles Millar had previously teased, “This season, we welcome new students, new teachers, and excavate some long-rotting Addams Family secrets. Don’t say you weren’t warned.”
“Our goal for Season 3 is the same as it is for every season: to make it the best season of Wednesday we possibly can,” says Gough. “We want to continue digging deeper into our characters while expanding the world of Nevermore and Wednesday.” Millar adds, “We will be seeing more Addams family members and learning more family secrets in Season 3!”
Tim Burton adds, “I’m so excited to be back for Season 3, and it’s great to be reunited with all of the original cast. The addition of some dear friends and past collaborators of mine — Winona, Eva, Chris, Noah … makes this season extra special. I feel very lucky.”
