The Valiant Universe is officially alive with Bloodshot, which stars Vin Diesel as Ray Garrison, a man who is brought back from the dead as a lethal weapon, thanks to Rising Spirit Technologies’ use of nanotechnology.
The trailer arrives tomorrow but today we get a teaser in the form of this absolutely bonkers shot of Diesel getting his face blown completely off!
Guy Pearce (Prometheus, Ravenous) also stars in the film adaptation with Dave Wilson (Deadpool director Tim Miller’s partner at Blur Studios) at the helm of the sci-fi actioner, which is being set up as a potential franchise.
Talulah Riley is featured as Gina, Bloodshot’s wife, with Alex Hernandez as Tibbs, a member of the scientist’s team responsible for Bloodshot’s technology.
“Bloodshot” was created for Valiant Comics by Kevin Van Hook, Don Perlin and Bob Layton in 1992, and ran for 110 issues with more than 7.5 million copies sold.
Bloodshot will arrive in theaters on February 21, 2020.
