It doesn’t look like we’re getting a third installment in the Happy Death Day franchise but the good news is that director Christopher Landon has instead set up an entirely new project with Blumhouse – a body-swapping horror film with Vince Vaughn and Kathryn Newton attached to star. THR reports that Uriah Shelton (“Looking for Alaska”) is also on board.
Via Deadline, Alan Ruck (Succession), Katie Finneran (Why Women Kill), Celeste O’Connor (Selah And The Spades) and Misha Osherovich (NOS4A2) have joined the cast as well.

Landon co-wrote the screenplay with Michael Kennedy.
Prior to directing both Happy Death Day and this year’s Happy Death Day 2U, Landon directed Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones and Scout’s Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse.
