Warner Bros. has unleashed the second trailer for Cathy Yan’s Birds of Prey this morning, and it’s loaded with brand new footage of Harley Quinn’s (Margot Robbie) liberation from the Joker and the subsequent forming of her ass-kicking girl gang. It’s also notable for featuring the first footage of Ewan McGregor as the evil Black Mask…in the actual Black Mask!
The new trailer is set to Bjork’s version of “It’s Oh So Quiet,” a song that pretty much nails the particular mood that the movie seems to be embracing. Check it out below.
And watch until the end to meet Bruce…
Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Jurnee Smollett-Bell will be starring alongside Margot Robbie‘s Harley Quinn. Winstead will play Huntress, with Smollett-Bell as Black Canary. Rosie Perez is playing Renee Montoya and Ella Jay Basco is playing Cassandra Cain. The film’s villain will be Black Mask, played by Ewan McGregor. And Chris Messina is Victor Zsasz.
Yan directed Birds of Prey from Christina Hodson’s screenplay.
Birds of Prey has been dated for February 7, 2020.
