One of the genre films that world premiered at SXSW last year was Keola Racela‘s horror-comedy Porno, and Deadline reports today that Fangoria has snatched up worldwide rights.
The site adds that Fangoria will be bringing the film to theaters within the United States in April, and that the SVOD rights in North America have gone to Shudder.
Porno is expected to stream on Shudder later in the year.
The film “follows a group of seemingly wholesome young movie theatre employees being tempted and terrorized by a sex demon.”
The cast includes Evan Daves, Larry Saperstein, Jillian Mueller, Glenn Stott, Robert Tann, Bill Phillips, Katelyn Pearce, and Peter Reznikoff.
Matt Black and Laurence Vannicelli penned the screenplay.
