One of the most critically-acclaimed horror films on the way here in 2020 is Neon’s The Lodge, touted as being “Scary as hell” and “The next great horror film” by Slash Film.
In theaters starting February 7th, The Lodge was directed by Goodnight Mommy duo Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala, and the official trailer is loaded with rave reviews.
Meredith Borders review the film for us last year, writing: “Every choice in this film is crafted for utmost discomfort, making for a relentless onslaught of unease.”

“The Lodge follows a family who retreat to their remote winter cabin over the holidays. When the father is forced to abruptly depart for work, he leaves his children, Aidan and Mia, in the care of his new girlfriend, Grace. Isolated and alone, a blizzard traps them inside the lodge as terrifying events summon specters from Grace’s dark past.”
