Jason Blum Teases That ‘Halloween Kills’ is “A Very BIG Movie”; “The Canvas is Very Large”

We can’t imagine it’ll be too much longer before we get some kind of teaser or at least the first official image from this year’s Halloween Kills, but in the meantime all we’ve really got to report are the various things being said by the cast and crew during interviews. And here’s an interesting one for you today, which comes via Too Fab and their chat with Jason Blum.

We wouldn’t necessarily say that the Halloween movies are ever very large in scope, with the two that are part of this particular timeline centered on a small town and a battle between a masked killer and his greatest adversary, but Blum was asked for a little tease of Halloween Kills and it’s interesting to note that he described the upcoming film as being “big.”

Halloween Kills is a very BIG movie,” Blum told Too Fab. “The canvas of Halloween Kills is very large.”

Presumably, Blum is referring to the scope of this October’s sequel, which is set to bring multiple characters from the original film back into the fold. Anthony Michael Hall is playing Tommy Doyle, while Kyle Richards is reprising the role of Lindsey Wallace, Nancy Stephens is back as Nurse Marion Chambers and Charles Cyphers is back as Sheriff Brackett.

Now that the stage has been set and Halloween (2018) was a massive box office success, it stands to reason that the sequel will be bigger, crazier and, we can only hope, even better.

Halloween Kills will arrive in theaters on October 16, 2020 followed by Halloween Ends on October 15, 2021, with David Gordon Green returning to direct both films.
