Happy Death Day and Happy Death Day 2U director Christopher Landon is bringing a brand new horror movie to the table this year, and in addition to having one hell of a premise, we’ve also been promised this week that it will *definitely* be a rated “R” affair!
Landon tweeted today, “If anyone is wondering, my next movie, which comes out this year, is gory AF — Blood drenched and gleefully hard R.”

“After swapping bodies with a deranged serial killer, a young girl in high school discovers she has less than 24 hours before the change becomes permanent.”
Vince Vaughn and Kathryn Newton will star alongside Uriah Shelton, Alan Ruck, Katie Finneran, Celeste O’Connor and Misha Osherovich.
Landon co-wrote the screenplay with Michael Kennedy.
Prior to directing both Happy Death Day and Happy Death Day 2U, Landon directed Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones and Scout’s Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse.
