Heading to EFM is Simon Barrett‘s feature directorial debut, Seance, which filmed late last year in Winnipeg.
Being sold by HanWay Films with Dark Castle Entertainment, Bloody Disgusting has the first ever photo from the horror film, which features star Suki Waterhouse alongside Stephanie Sy, Inanna Sarkis, Madisen Beaty, Djouliet Amara, and Ella-Rae Smith.
Waterhouse, star of Pokémon Detective Pikachu and Assassination Nation, plays the new girl at the prestigious Fairfield Academy for Girls. She becomes drawn into the mystery of a student who died following a seance summoning the legendary Fairfield Ghost, only to find her classmates being killed off one by one.
Barrett is a central part of the Bloody Disgusting family having collaborated with Adam Wingard on our A Horrible Way to Die, not to mention both V/H/S and V/H/S/2, the latter of which he directed the film’s wraparound. Barrett also penned The Guest, You’re Next, Blair Witch, and the 2004 horror film Dead Birds. Wingard is a producer on Seance.
