Colin Trevorrow has taken to social media today to announce that filming on the next installment in the Jurassic Park/World franchise has begun, and he’s also revealed the title.
It looks like the sequel to Fallen Kingdom is titled Jurassic World: Dominion!
The title is presumably a reference to the fact that the dinosaurs now have dominion over the world, free from the island and unleashed into the population at the end of Fallen Kingdom.
Guess who’s fallen to the bottom of the food chain…
Jurassic World: Dominion sounds like the title to a horror movie, and indeed the film’s general premise would seem to suggest that Hell is about to be unleashed upon Earth!
The cast includes familiar and new faces such as Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Justice Smith, Daniella Pineda, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy, Dichen Lachman, Mamoudou Athie, DeWanda Wise and Scott Haze.
Trevorrow is directing the freshly titled film, arriving on June 11, 2021.
Emily Carmichael wrote the script with Trevorrow. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley are set to produce with Steven Spielberg and Trevorrow serving as executive producers.
