Tomorrow (March 17th) is St. Patrick’s Day, and this year’s celebration is going to be a strange one as we’re all being asked to stay indoors to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus. In other words, rather than going out to bars and getting drunk with friends, the best way you can celebrate St. Patrick’s Day this year is to stay home, get drunk, and watch horror movies.
Syfy is going to be helping out a bit with that tomorrow, as they’ll be taking part in their own St. Patrick’s Day celebration with two airings of Steven Kostanski‘s Leprechaun Returns.
Unfortunately, they won’t be running a Leprechaun franchise marathon this year.
Here’s the schedule for the night of March 17th:
- 8pm EST – Leprechaun’s Revenge (2012)
- 10pm EST – Leprechaun Returns (2018)
- 12am EST – Leprechaun’s Revenge
- 2am EST – Leprechaun Returns
- 4am EST – Leprechaun’s Revenge
In Leprechaun Returns (our review), a sequel to the original, “The wisecracking Leprechaun is back in all his gory glory. When the sorority sisters of the Alpha Upsilon house decide to go green and use an old well as their water source, they unwittingly awaken a pint-sized, green-clad monster. The Leprechaun wants a pot of gold buried near the sorority house, but first, he must recover his powers with a killing spree—and only the girls of AU can stop him.“
