Parasite distributor NEON has acquired domestic rights to director Michael Sarnoski‘s revenge-thriller Pig, Variety reports this week, which stars Nicolas Cage alongside, well, a pig.

The plan is for the film to be released in theaters at some point.

“Writer-director Sarnoski’s film sees Cage as a reclusive truffle hunter in Oregon whose prize hunting pig is kidnapped, forcing him to return to old stomping grounds in Portland and confront his past.”

Alex Wolff (Hereditary) also stars in Pig.

The film, written by Vanessa Block and Sarnoski, is produced by Cage, alongside Pulse Films, BlockBox Entertainment, Valparaiso Pictures and Cage’s Saturn Pictures.

Pig is also produced by Dimitra Tsingou, Thomas Benski, Ben Giladi, David Carrico, Adam Paulsen, Dori Rath, Joseph Restaino, Steve Tisch, and writer Vanessa Block. Escape Artists and Sweet Tomato Films co-financed alongside the majority financier, Len Blavatnik’s AI Film.

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.
