2013’s Evil Dead has aged incredibly well and has since become revered by many horror fans, including yours truly.
In the midst of a global pandemic and its accompanying quarantine, director Fede Alvarez joins other filmmakers in digging through their old files and sharing unreleased looks behind-the-scenes of their productions.
Alvarez gives us a peek at some never-before-seen photos from the set of the sequel/remake to Sam Raimi’s trilogy with a little added commentary, while also noting the strong social relevance to current conditions.
We not only learn that the shot of Jane Levy‘s Mia sitting on Ash’s 1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88 is one of his favorites, but he also revealed that there was a moment when he questioned his decision to take on the daunting task of “remaking” Raimi’s masterpiece.
