‘Godzilla vs. Kong’: Kickass New Fight Footage Found in Latest Social Media Teaser Video from HBO Max
This world isn’t ready for their fight to begin.
We’re now a month and a half away from the HBO Max (and theatrical) premiere of Godzilla vs. Kong, which brings together the two main “MonsterVerse” monsters on March 31. We’ve already gotten a couple different trailers and TV spots for the film, and yet another promo video from HBO Max this week is packed with a surprising amount of brand new footage.
The video, posted on social media last night, runs one-minute long, and in it you’ll find several extended sneak-peeks at battle scenes we’ve glimpsed in previous trailers. Kong is presented as the clear “hero” in this new footage, mostly being dominated by the nastier Godzilla. Or is that perhaps not even Godzilla at all? Rather, is Kong fighting… MechaGodzilla?
Find all the new action in the Twitter video below!
Here’s the latest plot synopsis…
“Legends collide as these mythic adversaries meet in a spectacular battle for the ages, with the fate of the world hanging in the balance. Kong and his protectors undertake a perilous journey to find his true home, and with them is Jia, a young orphaned girl with whom he has formed a unique and powerful bond. But they unexpectedly find themselves in the path of an enraged Godzilla, cutting a swath of destruction across the globe. The epic clash between the two titans—instigated by unseen forces—is only the beginning of the mystery that lies deep within the core of the Earth.”
Godzilla vs. Kong is the fourth film in the MonsterVerse, which kicked off with Godzilla in 2014 and continued with Kong: Skull Island in 2017 and Godzilla: King of the Monsters in 2019.
Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall and Kyle Chandler star.
Adam Wingard directed the mashup fight film.

How to Watch ‘Cam’ Free Online After the Tech Thriller Left Netflix
Before updating the video nasty Faces of Death, director Daniel Goldhaber and writer Isa Mazzei explored the dangers of online life in tech-thriller Cam, their feature debut that was acquired by Netflix in 2018 after making waves on the festival circuit.
At the end of last year, the Netflix exclusive quietly departed from the streaming platform, left without another streaming home.
It’s not an isolated story; Mike Flanagan’s Hush also left streaming entirely for a period until it was finally picked up on both physical media and other streaming services.
While the tech-thriller currently isn’t available to watch on Netflix, Tubi, Hulu, or any other platforms, that’s not a problem for Cam thanks to a very cool move by Goldhaber: the director has made his breakout film accessible to watch online for free via his website.
As his site notes: “CAM is unfortunately not currently available to view on any platforms, so you can watch it here if you like :).“
No subscriptions or fees necessary, just hit play.
Cam follows Alice (Madeline Brewer), who works as an online cam girl obsessed with her ranking on the cam site. The higher her ranking goes, the more it draws unwanted attention, and Alice soon finds herself replaced on her own show with a doppelganger.
Written by Mazzei, a former camgirl, it uses the horror thriller premise to examine the life of a sex worker; Alice’s career ambition is directly at odds with the shame it brings to her family, and how she tries to spare them from it by keeping them in the dark. It only compounds her danger when the doppelganger enters the equation in Goldhaber’s engaging thriller.
For a deep dive into the treacherous world of Cam, listen to Horror Queers’ episode on it now.
