‘The Wind’ Director Emma Tammi Returns to Hulu’s “Into the Dark” for Season 2 Finale ‘Blood Moon’

After directing last year’s Delivered for the Hulu and Blumhouse feature film anthology series “Into the Dark,” Emma Tammi (The Wind) is back with this year’s season two finale.

The Wrap announced today that Tammi will direct Blood Moon for Hulu and Blumhouse, which will be the finale for the second season of the year-long, holiday-themed project.

The cast will be led by Megalyn Echikunwoke and Yonas Kibreab. In addition, Joshua Dov, Marco Rodriguez, Gareth Williams and Jack Yang also star in the film.

Blood Moon “follows Esme (Echikunwoke) and her 10-year-old son, Luna (Kibreab), who move to a small desert town looking for a fresh start, but soon attract all the wrong kinds of attention. As the locals begin to probe, Esme must battle to protect her son and a terrifying secret before the next full moon threatens their very existence.”

The film premieres on March 26, only on Hulu.

Adam Mason and Simon Boye wrote the script.

‘Drop’ – Violett Beane Joins the Cast of Christopher Landon’s New Thriller

Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day, Freaky) is staying busy here in 2024, directing not only the werewolf movie Big Bad but also an upcoming thriller titled Drop.

The project for Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes is being described as a “fast-paced thriller,” and Deadline reports today that Violett Beane (Truth or Dare) has joined the cast.

Newcomer Jacob Robinson has also signed on to star in the mysterious thriller. Previously announced, Meghann Fahy (“White Lotus”) will be leading the cast.

Landon recently teased on Twitter, “This is my love letter to DePalma.”

Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach wrote the script.

Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller and Cameron Fuller — “who brought the script in to Platinum Dunes” — are producing the upcoming Drop. Sam Lerner is an executive producer.

THR notes, “The film is a Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse production for Universal.”
