It’s been a big day for Batman news, with the J.J. Abrams and Matt Reeves-produced animated series “Batman: Caped Crusader” announced to kick off the day on an exciting note.
Additionally, we’ve learned tonight via IGN that DC and Warner Bros. are turning the video game Injustice: Gods Among Us into a direct-to-video animated feature film.
The fighting game was developed by NetherRealm Studios, pitting DC’s most iconic heroes and villains up against one another in Mortal Kombat-style MultiVerse battles.
And that’s not all, as THR is rounding out the day by announcing that a Batgirl solo movie is in the works, with Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey) writing the script!
Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah (Bad Boys for Life) are directing the Batgirl movie, which will center on Barbara Gordon. THR notes that the film is likely to be made for HBO Max.
