‘Lamb’ Poster Promises to Turn Mother Nature on Its Head; A24 to Premiere Trailer Tomorrow!
A24 fans are licking their lamb chops in anticipation of the distributor’s next arthouse horror film, Lamb, hailed as “batshit crazy” out of the film’s World Premiere at Cannes.
Looking like another Biblical drama in the vein of The Witch, A24 shares the first piece of art that shows Prometheus star Noomi Rapace holding the film’s title character – a lamb that’s allegedly half human, half sheep. What does the animal’s body look like in that bad?!
The best part of the poster is the excellent tagline, which promises that mother nature is about to get turned on its head.
In addition, A24 promises a brand new trailer tomorrow that will presumably come with the film’s release date. A brooding international trailer was released ahead of Cannes.
“Lamb is the story of a childless couple, María (Rapace) and Ingvar (Hilmir Snaer Gudnason), who are sheep farmers in Iceland.
“On Christmas Eve they find a newborn who is half human, half sheep.
“Longing for a child of their own they decide to keep the lamb-child and raise it as their own regardless of the consequences. This unexpected prospect of a new family brings them much joy, before ultimately destroys them.”
“A script like this is rare and I directly felt that I had to do it,” said Rapace when the film was originally announced in Variety. “I’ve never done anything like this before and I can’t wait to start filming and go back to my roots in Iceland.”
The critically acclaimed horror movie Late Night With the Devil was released into theaters nationwide last month, and after scaring up over $10 million, it’s now available at home!
How and where can you watch Late Night with the Devil at home, you ask?
The easiest – and cheapest – way to watch Late Night with the Devil at home is to stream the film on Shudder, which is currently its exclusive streaming home. David Dastmalchian (Dune, The Suicide Squad) stars as Jack Delroy, the charismatic host of “Night Owls,” and the film traces the ill-fated taping of a live Halloween special in 1977 plagued by a demonic presence. The energetic and innovative feature hails from Australian writing-directing team Colin and Cameron Cairnes (100 Bloody Acres, Scare Campaign).
Meagan Navarro wrote in her review for Bloody Disgusting, “Late Night with the Devil captures the chaotic energy of a late night show, embracing the irreverent comedy and stress of live television with a pastiche style. It’s a clever trojan horse for a surprising horror movie that goes full throttle on unhinged demonic mayhem.”
Late Night with the Devil was also praised by both Stephen King and Kevin Smith, with King tweeting: “Late Night with the Devil. It’s absolutely brilliant. I couldn’t take my eyes off it. Your results may vary, as they say, but I urge you to watch it when you can.”
