Noomi Rapace (Prometheus) is set to star in Run, with No Tears, a psychological thriller that will shoot in French and English, Variety has learned.
The story follows two women who travel to Morocco to adopt another woman’s baby.
French-Moroccan director Nabil Ayouch will helm the film from a script he penned with Maryam Touzani (The Blue Caftan), who also co-stars in the film.
The international production hails from France’s Les Films du Nouveau Monde, Morocco’s Ali n’ Productions, Sweden’s Rainy Days, Belgium’s Velvet Films, and Norway’s Staer.
The project is supported by the Centre Cinématographique Marocain, the Belgian Tax Shelter, and the Swedish Film Institute, and is co-produced by Sweden’s Film i Väst.
Run, with No Tears is scheduled to start filming in September. Films Boutique is handling international sales.
Rapace’s other upcoming genre projects include the AI thriller Hot Spot, in theaters August 21; the psychological thriller The Technique; and the dystopian thriller No Man’s Land.
