‘Halloween Kills’ Featurette Promises an Intense Sequel With “Nonstop Action and Blood” [Video]
While 2018’s Halloween was Laurie Strode’s story, next week’s Halloween Kills is “the town’s story,” says franchise star Jamie Lee Curtis in this brand new featurette.
The behind-the-scenes video offers up new footage from the latest Halloween sequel that focuses on how the town processes its own trauma and also its “mob mentality,” explains co-writer Danny McBride.
“There’s just nonstop action…and blood,” promises co-star Judy Greer.
“It’s really intense,” adds Curtis.

David Gordon Green’s Halloween Kills is coming to theaters and the streaming service Peacock on Friday, October 15.
Here’s the official synopsis for Halloween Kills…
“The Halloween night when Michael Myers returned isn’t over yet.
“Minutes after Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis), her daughter Karen (Judy Greer) and granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) left masked monster Michael Myers caged and burning in Laurie’s basement, Laurie is rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, believing she finally killed her lifelong tormentor.
“But when Michael manages to free himself from Laurie’s trap, his ritual bloodbath resumes. As Laurie fights her pain and prepares to defend herself against him, she inspires all of Haddonfield to rise up against their unstoppable monster. The Strode women join a group of other survivors of Michael’s first rampage who decide to take matters into their own hands, forming a vigilante mob that sets out to hunt Michael down, once and for all. Evil dies tonight.”
Keith C. Blackmore’s book series Mountain Man is headed to the screen, with Deadline reporting today that Joe Manganiello (“True Blood”) is on board to star in the film adaptation.
The actor will also produce the upcoming zombie movie.
“Mountain Man tells the story of Gus, a lonely post-apocalyptic survivor facing isolation and the ever-present specter of a zombie attack, who struggles with alcohol abuse and suicidal thoughts until he discovers another survivor, a captivating woman who poses another threat altogether.”
John Lee (False Positive) will direct Mountain Man from a script by Matt Deller.
“John is a brilliant creative mind. We’ve been looking for the right thing to do together since we filmed Pee Wee’s Big Holiday and it’s finally here,” 3:59’s Joe and Nick Manganiello told Deadline. “Very excited to get to work on such weird, wild project with him.”
Film Bridge International is launching sales on the project in Cannes.
Blackmore’s Mountain Man series features 7 books, the first one published in 2011.
